Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how [9VIL LEGAL ENTITY] ("9vil", "we", "us") handles information when you use the 9POS mobile app (the "App") and this website. The short version: your shop data stays on your device unless you back it up, export it or share it yourself; 9POS needs no account and has no ads, no analytics and no tracking.
1. Who is responsible
The data controller for the limited information described below is [9VIL LEGAL ENTITY]. You can reach us at support@9vil.app.
2. Your shop data stays on your device
Products, prices, stock, sales, receipts, customers and their phone numbers, debts, settings and any photos you add are stored in a database on your phone or tablet. By default nothing is uploaded. We never receive this data and we cannot see or recover it.
- There is no account, no sign-in and no cloud copy kept by us.
- If you record customers, you decide what to store about them. For that customer information you are the person responsible towards your customers; 9vil does not receive it.
- Receipts, PDFs, CSV files and backups are created on your device. What happens to a file after you share it is governed by the app or service you share it with.
- The receipt QR code is generated on the device from the sale; the payment QR image you add is stored on the device and only shown on screen to your customer.
3. Permissions the App may ask for
- Camera, to scan barcodes and QR codes and, if you choose, to take a product or logo photo. Images are processed on the device and are not uploaded.
- Bluetooth and nearby devices, to find and connect to your receipt or label printer. 9POS uses it only to talk to the printer you select. On some Android versions the system groups this permission with location access; 9POS does not read your location.
- Photos and files, only for the items you choose: product or logo photos, a CSV file to import, a backup file to restore, or the place where you save an export or backup.
4. Backups and sharing
A backup is one file that contains your products, sales, customers, debts, stock records, settings and photos. It is created only when you ask, and saved or shared where you choose (for example your cloud drive or an email to yourself). It is not encrypted by 9POS, so keep it somewhere private. We never receive it. Restoring replaces the data in the App with the file's contents, after saving a safety copy on the device.
5. What we do not do
- No advertising, ad SDKs or ad identifiers.
- No tracking: we do not track you across other companies' apps and websites.
- No analytics, usage-tracking or crash-reporting services in the App or on this website.
- No accounts, so no profile of you exists on our side.
- We do not sell or share personal information, and we never receive your sales, customers, backups or photos.
6. Links and outside services
The App can open web pages in your browser, for example this website's help centre or your email app to write to support. Those pages and apps have their own policies. Payments by QR, card or bank transfer happen between you, your customer and your bank or payment provider; 9POS only records the method you choose and does not process money.
7. Contacting support
If you email support@9vil.app, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to write or attach, such as the diagnostics you copy from the App (app version, device model and system version, language, printer settings; no sales or customer data). We use it only to answer you and improve the App, and keep it as long as needed for that purpose. Please do not send customer data or sensitive documents unless we ask and you agree.
8. This website
The website is static. It does not use cookies, analytics or trackers and loads no third-party resources. The Be Vietnam Pro font is served from this website itself, so no third party receives your details because of fonts. If you choose a theme, it is remembered only in your browser's local storage on your device. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes standard server logs (such as IP address and requested page) to deliver and protect the site.
9. Legal bases and retention
Where data protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on legitimate interests (answering support requests and keeping the site secure) and, where needed, your consent. Data on your device is kept until you delete it or uninstall the App. Backup files you create stay wherever you saved them until you delete them.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR, or Vietnam's personal data protection rules), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of personal data we hold, and to complain to your data protection authority. Because we do not hold your shop data or an account, the only data we can look up is support correspondence. To exercise a right, email support@9vil.app.
11. Data transfers
Cloudflare operates globally, so website logs and support email may be processed outside your country, under safeguards such as standard contractual clauses where required. Your shop data does not leave your device unless you move it.
12. Children
9POS is a business tool and is not directed to children under 13 (or the higher minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
13. Security
We design the App so that your data stays local. Protect your device with a screen lock, keep your operating system updated and store backup files privately. No method is perfectly secure.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version. For material changes we will give notice in the App or on this site before they take effect.
15. Governing law and contact
This policy is governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION], without limiting any mandatory consumer rights you have in your country. Questions: support@9vil.app.
